If you’re feeling low, be of service

Get out of the echo chamber of your mind and show up for someone else or a charity that’s doing good work. Being in service rewires your nervous system and is very healing. It reminds you that you have something to give, you have the ability to make another happy and that what you’ve got to give matters. Being in service generously to others is the fastest way to return to wholeness and a secret doorway back to yourself.

Service is also a mirror… it reflects the best of you back to yourself. When you step outside your own struggles to meet the needs of another, you tap into a current of meaning that no amount of success or self-focus can replicate. True service isn’t about fixing or saving; it’s about presence, humility, and recognising the shared humanity between you. It anchors you in purpose and reminds you that we belong to each other.

Did You Know? Acts of service light up the brain’s reward centres, increasing serotonin and dopamine — feel-good chemicals that combat depression and anxiety. Giving is literally regulating.

The Invitation: Choose one small act of kindness today without telling anyone. Write a letter to someone who shaped you. Pay for someone’s coffee. Offer a compliment to a stranger. Then notice what shifts inside you when you extend love outward.

Affirmation: "I find healing in giving. As I serve others with an open heart, I reconnect with my own wholeness and light”

Some questions to contemplate and journal on:

When was the last time I truly showed up for someone else without expectation — and how did it shift my own sense of worth, connection, or presence?

If serving others generously is a doorway back to myself, what small or brave act of service could I offer today to step through that door?

Step out of your mind’s echoing hall. Show up for someone… give them your all.

Service heals, it lights the way,

Your gifts return to you each day.

Giving generously, you’ll find the key,

A secret doorway back to you, set free!
